Thomas Jenkins Goytrey 1836

In the name of God Amen. I Thomas Jenkins of the parish of Goytrey in the County of Monmouth farmer, being weak in body but of sound mind, memory and understanding praise be God for the same so make this my last will and testament in maner and form following, that is to say:

I give, devise and bequeath unto my loving wife Ruth Jenkins all my goods, chattels and effects of what nature or kind soever or wheresoever the same may be at the time of my death for the term of her natural life. And from and after her decease I give and bequeath the same to be equally divided equally between my children share and share alike.

I appoint James Gwatkin of Pentwyn House to be trustee and executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking And making void all former will or wills by me at any time heretofore made, ratifying and confirming this to be my last will and testament.

In witness whereof I, the said Thomas Jenkins have hereto set my hand and seal this 26th day of March in the year of our Lord 1836.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the testator Thomas Jenkins for and his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto.

22nd day of September 1836. James Gwatkin the sole executor in this will named was duly sworn as such and that the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased are under the value of one hundred pounds before me N. Powell surrogate.
