Sarah Richards – Goytrey

In the name of God Amen. I Sarah Richards of the parish of Goytrey in the county of Monmouth, spinster, being in good health of body and of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, praised be to God for the same, do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say:

I give and bequeath to my loveing friend Ann, the daughter of Henry Rogers of the parish of Mamhilad in the said county of Monmouth the sum of thirty pounds.

Also I give and bequeath to Mary, the second daughter of the said Henry Rogers the sum of thirty pounds.

Also I give and bequeath to Jabez the son of the said Henry Rogers the sum of twenty pounds.

Also I give and bequeath the corner cupboard with its contents to the aforesaid Mary Rogers.

All the rest and residue of my goods, chattles and effects of what nature or kind soever or wheresoever the same may be at the same time of my death I give and bequeath to Henry Rogers whom I appoint sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former will or wills by me at any time made.

In witness whereof I, the said Sarah Richards have hereunto set my hand and seal this 14th day of October in the year of our Lord 1836.
